UROCON 2022
Pre-conference workshops 23-24th November 2022

The 22nd Annual Meeting of the Pakistan Association of Urological Surgeons, UROCON 22, took place from November 25th to 27th in the historic city of Lahore. Preceding the commencement of the engaging scientific program, pre-conference workshops were conducted on November 23rd and 24th at various venues across Lahore. These workshops covered diverse themes including Laparoscopy, Urethral Reconstruction, Andrology, EndoUrology, and Paediatrics. In addition to local experts, PAUS was honored to host esteemed overseas faculty members such as Graham Watson, Paul Anderson, and Imran Mushtaq.

During the Laparoscopic Urology workshops, jointly organized by the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute and Sheikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Centre, Lahore, one of our board members actively participated in live surgical procedures supported by respected co-faculties, Asim Chaudry and Nadeem Bin Nusrat. These workshops attracted delegates from across Pakistan, with a focus on Laparoscopic Nephrectomies planned at both institutions. The sessions comprised case discussions, simulation exercises, and technical aspects covering equipment selection, patient positioning, access approaches, and surgical techniques. The organizers and delegates provided excellent feedback, indicating the success of the workshops. It is our aspiration that these workshops become a recurring feature of UROCON, facilitating the advancement of technical skills and the adoption of minimally invasive approaches in Urology
